Product & Delivery Leadership for a SaaS Platform (LeaseQuery now FinQuery)
STM Consulting provided senior-level leadership and delivery support for a fast-growing SaaS organisation by managing distributed, on-site and off-site teams across multiple regions. Our role covered day-to-day IT department operations while working directly with executive leadership to align technical delivery with business objectives. We coordinated internal and external stakeholders, validated new business requirements, and assessed feasibility to define clear MVPs, timelines, and deliverables for product enhancements and new initiatives.
In addition to delivery management, STM Consulting supported client-facing activities including product demonstrations and commercial discussions, ensuring technical solutions aligned with customer expectations. We implemented agile delivery practices by running scrum ceremonies, retrospectives, and lessons-learned sessions in line with PMO standards. Team performance was supported through structured reviews, feedback cycles, and growth recommendations, helping improve delivery efficiency, team accountability, and long-term product success.
Laboratory Systems Modernisation for NHS Grampian
STM Consulting supported NHS Grampian in the installation, configuration, and implementation of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for the Genetics department. The project involved integrating the new system with multiple existing clinical and laboratory platforms, including Cytogenetics, Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry, hospital patient management systems, GP systems, and national medical record repositories across Scotland. This ensured seamless data flow, improved accuracy, and reliable communication between departments and external healthcare providers.
The engagement also included reviving and stabilising a non-operational legacy LIMS environment where documentation was unavailable. STM Consulting successfully restored system access, resolved database and security constraints, and made the platform fully operational through in-depth system analysis and configuration. In parallel, we led the upgrade and deployment of a newer, web-enabled LIMS version, managing technical validation, server configuration, and user access across multiple terminals. Post-implementation, we delivered training to scientists and medical staff, collaborated with IT and clinical teams to resolve GP connectivity issues, and supported data integrity by addressing duplicate patient records—helping ensure continuity, compliance, and reliability in a critical healthcare environment.
